I just read some incredibly sad news… Michael Clarke Duncan, the man with the booming voice and massive physique, passed away today at the age of 54.
According to THR.com Mr. Duncan was hospitalized back in mid-July with a myocardial infarction and never fully recovered. Seeing MCD in interviews and on the red carpet… he always seemed like a truly genuine guy with a caring and loving soul. As big and he was on-screen, his presence in real life was just as huge. With over 90 acting credits on his imdb.com page… it’s nearly impossible to dial his presence down to one film. Some of my personal favorites though: The Green Mile, Armageddon, Talladega Nights and even Daredevil. And his voice credits… it seemed like every time I passed an animated show his bass tones were smoothly rolling out of my surround-sound.
A true Hollywood Titan. He will be greatly missed!
he was also good on the tv show the finder as well.
Agreed!! Totally bummed when I found out they cancelled it.
