In this week’s roll around the world of unknown bands we bring you a group of young doo-woppers burning up the California Coast. They’re currently blowin-up the local rock scene in their hometown of San Luis Obispo and selling out venues like crazy mutant sock puppets. Ok… is there really such a thing as crazy mutant sock puppets? I had a nightmare that there were… and it just popped back into my head as I was writing… but they don’t really exist. Right?
The group we’re talking about today is simply known as PK. What’s the PK stand for? Nobody knows. From the video below I’d guess… Pussy Kings, Punching Kangaroos, Poo Knights, Philanthropist Klans, Potty Kites, Purring Kittens… who knows really, but we do know one thing fo sho. These bastards can ROCK!!! They take modern-day styling and drop a little 80’s sauce on it for a nice blend of nostalgia and foot tapping goodness. without further adeau… PK:
