Rosie O’Donnell in Conversations to Join America’s Got Talent
She came and quickly went just last year as host of talker The Rosie Show on OWN. And her one season stint as co-host of The View in 2006-07 is remembered as the most tumultuous year in the history of the ABC daytime talk show. But Rosie O’Donnell kicks on ticking and she could be replacing Sharon Osbourne as one of the co-judges on NBC summer favorite America’s Got Talent. “I am very interested in doing America’s Got Talent with Howard Stern and I am talking to them,” O’Donnell said.
Stern, who has made it clear he wants O’Donnell sitting next to him next season, is the only judge confirmed to definitely return. Sharon Osbourne, who replaced original judge Brandy in 2007, has said she will not return because she accused NBC of dropping her son Jack from last summer’s Stars Ear Stripes when they learned he had multiple sclerosis. And Howie Mandel, who stepped in for David Hasselhoff in 2010, is still undecided.
No joke here, except that Rosie O’Donnell will be hosting America’s Got Talent.
