Here’s a look at the movies that are hitting the theaters this week.

Gangster Squad:  All star cast and all-star hottie Emma Stone.  So glad she is back to the red hair in this movie.  Guns, gangsters, and Sean Penn.  Can’t go wrong here.

Zero Dark Thirty: Academy award nominated and has tons of buzz. Fictionalized or not, what red-blooded American doesn’t want to see a movie about the United States tracking down and killing the biggest piece of shit to walk this planet since Adolph Hitler?

A Haunted House:  A spoof on the Paranormal Activity movie franchise, should be worth some laughs for those that are looking for a comedy this weekend.  For me it is a rental.  But Marlon Waynes knows a thing or two about the scary movie spoof, so it should be decent.

Fairhaven:  The old, “Guy comes home for a funeral, gets a dose of reality” movie plot.  Eh.

Quartet: Only mentioning it because it is directed by Dustin Hoffman and has received some Golden Globe Nominees.  About four retired opera singers that clearly get into some shenanigans.

Struck By Lightning: Written and starring Glee cast member Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel), this movie is about a man who is killed by lightning and then does some blackmailing.  Might be an interesting flick for fans of Chris or Glee, although I’m sure there isn’t any show tunes.
