Announced today, The Monkees front man Davy Jones has passed away at the age of 66.  Details of his death were reported by TMZ, Davy Jones apparently suffered from a heart attack.

Jones, who made his name in the late 60’s and had a career with the Monkees that spanned 44 years.  Probably best known for the TV show the Monkees that aired from 1966 to 1968 as well as one of their signature songs, “Daydream Believer” which Jones provided vocals for.  Jones joined The Monkees in 1965, with Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork.  Jones is survived by his wife Jessica and four daughters from previous marriages.
