Here’s a quick look around the music biz…
Keith Urban: Keith is dropping his 6th studio album on November 16th, and is looking to “Get Closer” (album title) by partnering with Target stores to put out a deluxe version of the album. The version available at Target will contain seven additional songs.
Hot 100: Bruno Mars holds on to his number one ranking in the Hot 100. Even though his hair creeped us out on Saturday Night Live last week. Seriously dude, stick to the hats. Taylor Swift breaks the record for most debut songs in the top ten, when her new song “Speak Now” hit last at number 8. Her new album comes out October 25th.
Girl Power: Katy Perry, Sugarland, Keri Hilson, Nicki Minaj and Paramore are this year’s “VH1 Divas,”. But these Divas are going on the road to perform for the troops via the USO. Lucky troops. Is it too late to enlist?
Lil Wayne: Could be on his way to the top of the top 200. His release of “I am Not A Human Being” is lurking near the top after a staggered release (the digital album dropped two weeks ago). Former Hootie front man Darius Rucker is looking to land at number 2 with the release of “Charleston, SC 1966,” his second solo country album.
Jo Bro News: The Jonas Brothers cancel a concert in Mexico due to violence. So people are finally revolting against their crap?
Every Douche Has A Show: Brett Micheals raps about his new reality show, his nude magazine cover, two number one songs, and about just being an all around great guy. Just kidding about the Douche comment, we love you Brett.
