Fergilicous: Read the Q&A with Fergie of the Black Eye Peas, recently named Billboard’s Woman of the Year.
Kanye Rules: Kanye shot to the top of the Billboard 200 this week after selling nearly half a million albums. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy beat out Nicki Minai for the top spot. Minai’s Pink Friday came in second with 375,ooo units sold. This is the fourth straight #1 album for Kanye. (Our coverage of his album here)
Gaga for New Gaga?: Hold onto your pants, the new Lady Gaga single will drop in February 2011. When asked recently about the her new album due out next year, Lady Gaga modestly replied, “Not for nothing, the album’s finished and it’s f*cking really good,”.
Hot 100 is Going Pink: Pink hits the top of the Hot 100 chart with “Raise Your Glass”. Pink knocked off “Only Girl (In the World)” by Rihanna to take the top spot this week.
Top 125?: Spin weighs in on the top 125 albums of the last 25 years. Not a bad choice for #1 in our opinion. But #4 is a better choice for that slot. Check it out!
Billie Joe Back to Broadway: Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong will return to the cast of the Broadway musical American Idiot for 50 shows beginning in January. The musical, which features music from the band has been suffering from sagging ticket sales recently. Armstrong will take on the role of St. Jimmy. Check him out performing “She’s A Rebel” below.
