It seems as if we’ve been hearing a lot about the world of Superheroes in Hollywood this week.  To make it easier for you to digest with your morning bagel & coffee…. here’s just enough to fuel the nerd still living deep inside.  So roll up that Benjamin reeeeaaaal tight, and get ready to snort up today’s edition of Hollywood Crack!

Superman: Warner Bros. & Legendary Pictures have picked Zack Snyder (“300”, “Watchmen”) to direct their new Superman movie project… joining the king of caped-crusader reboots, Christopher Nolan (who is sitting in the producers seat).  When asked about plot, the only thing really worth mentioning is that they are considering a semi-connection with movies past… and the name General Zod was mentioned.

WonderWoman: As we mentioned towards the end of last week (Remember with us HERE) Warner Bros. Television Division has lassoed David E Kelley (“Ally McBeal”, “Boston Legal”, The Practice”) to both write and produce for the TV series.  No word on actors/resses at this point… but something is in the works, and that’s good enough for me!

Spiderman: We’ve been hearing more and more buzz about the Spidey reboot (Peter Parker in his High School Days) recently… but mainly just about the web-slinger (Andrew Garfield) himself.  Now the word is out that Emma Stone (“Easy A”, “Zombieland”) is being offered the role of Mary Jane Watson.  I big step up from Kristen Dunst?  Emma has some definite sex appeal… so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Ryan Reynolds: This guy is probably one of my favorite actors of our generation… quirky, witty, fun to watch and animated (And oddly… very similar in all ways to Robert Culp).  So what have we seen Ryan do in the comic book world so far?  Green Lantern, Deadpool, Paperman, Hannibal King (Blade: Trinity), and Van Wilder.  Will Ryan Reynolds officially become the superest hero of all time?  Have any other actors played this many different super-roles?  oh, and we’re not complaining… he does it well.  Just curious.

Thor: Nothing new to report… this little nugget of Godly kickassery is practically wrapped up.  Just a reminder that this is not only the next installment of the Marvel Powerhouse leading up to the Avenger movie, but it also hits in May (can I buy my tickets now?)

Also some stuff about a “Flash” movie from the “Green Lantern” people and DC hitting us with their entire Movie “plan”… but I’m pretty much nerded out by now, as I’m sure you are too.  This crack is taking its toll!

Up, Up and AWAY!!!!
