Yeah, there is a new Superman in the works. Christopher Nolan is involved, which should make it great. But now the new man of steel has been picked and announced. For those of your familiar with Showtime’s “The Tudors” you might recognize him. Henry Cavill is set to be the latest Man of Steel, taking the reins from Brandon Routh (who sure looked the part). The movie is set to be directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) and is due out in December of 2012.
“In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time, and I am honored to be a part of his return to the big screen,” Snyder says in the release. “I also join Warner Bros., Legendary and the producers in saying how excited we are about the casting of Henry. He is the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield.”
