You might have caught the commercials for this little gaming console.  And you might have asked yourself?  “Self, what is that thing?”  Well the Onlive MicroConsole ($99) is a little device that you connect you your home TV.  Once connected to your home network, you can stream games directly to your favorite TV.   It is dubbed as cloud based gaming, which boiled down means you don’t have a disc that needs to be played, cause the game is floating out there in cyberland.  Seems like a neat idea right?  The MicroConsole’s price tag isn’t bad, and it comes with one free game which is nice.  What about game titles?  According to the full list on their site there are some decent titles available, like Borderlands, NBA 2k11, and Batman: Arkham Asylum.  The games have various price tags, including a 3 day, 5 day and full play pass giving you choices on how fast you want to run through the games.

One can only imagine that you need a pretty good internet plan to get the best out of this product, but if that isn’t a problem for you and you are looking for a new little gadget for your house or kids room and don’t want to give up your PS3 or Xbox 360 to those little brats, this might be the product for you.
