I’ve had a lot of people ask what is the most important thing to do, prior to a marathon? Hydration? Carb-up? Nope.

It’s poop.  You must take a poop before you set off for the journey.  As soon as my alarm goes off at 4:45am… poop is the first thing to cross my mind.  I’ve been running a few times and my buddy says “I’ll catch up to you” as he veers off the path.  Yeah…..wiping with nature’s elements is not cool.  I still would rather go outside using bark and leaves than a porto-potty at mile 5. With 26,000 runners you’re probably the 1,000th+ to use it on race day.

So remember how important pooping is.  Poop.
