In the news today, Martin Sheen is in talks to play Uncle Ben in the Spiderman reboot. That’s one hell of an actor for a character that is killed off shortly after Spiderman get’s his powers. Could they be taking Uncle Ben’s character another direction? A large sigh will come from the comic book world if they do.
And whom better to play the motherly Aunt May then the original Gidget herself, Sally Field? Sally has the chops to stand up to this important role in Peter Parker’s life. 
As reported, they will join Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as love interest Gwen Stacy, and Rhys Ifans as the movie’s unnamed villain. Marc Webb will direct the 4th installment set to begin filming next month.
