Breaking news today, former Apple CEO Steve Jobs has passed away.  He was 56.

This visionary man who gave us such products as the iPod, iPad and iPhone lost his battle with cancer today.  Although he had recently stepped down as CEO of the company this year, it was his vision that led Apple to redefine how so many people worldwide access the internet, phone service, television, and music.  We can only hope that his legacy will live on through the bright people that he undoubtedly surrounded himself with at Apple.

We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today,” the company said in a brief statement.

“Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.”
