Feels like we have hit that mid summer low in movies. Hitting the theaters this week is the Will Ferrell and Mark Walhberg comedy “The Other Guys“.
Just from the previews, this movie looks to be one of the better comedies of the year. I’m saying it here now, I think that Mark Walhberg will actually steal the show in this movie. He is much funnier than given credit for considering his dramatic/action movie chops. He is the perfect straight man to Will Ferrell.
My only worry about this movie is going to be Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) and Samuel L. Jackson. I have a feeling this movie is going to follow along the same lines of Steve Carell’s “Get Smart” from a few years ago. Where there was a super cop, ironically played by Johnson who really was a bad guy. I hope to be surprised otherwise.
