Looks like Amazon is trying to throw its weight into the battle of internet TV streaming.     Amazon has reportedly approached Viacom, Warner Bros., and NBC Universal about providing their catalogs via their already impressive online movie content.

Amazon is likely making this move to blunt Netflix‘s ever rising quest to global dominance.   Amazon looks to make this a subscription based service, perhaps much along the lines of Hulu Plus.   This is in the earliest stages, but be sure we will monitor this as it develops.  We do know that more competition is always a good thing and more and more services like this only become another chink in the armor of traditional cable TV’s business model.
