Tyler, Lopez Jackson (L.A. Times)
We’ve been talking about the new judges on American Idol for some time now (Steven Tyler HERE & JLo HERE)… but until now it was technically speculation. Well, The peeps at FOX have finally pulled the trigger and committed that the two musical juggernauts are in fact sitting at the judges table with Randy Jackson to complete the AI tri-fecta.
There are some additional changes taking effect this season, like no more rotating mentors (suck it Miley). According to the L.A. Times, music producer Jimmy Iovine (chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records), will be the regular mentor, no more soulful versions of Rhinestone Cowboy!!! They get to stay within their comfort genre and really let their skills shine.
