In a follow-up to our coverage from last week, Google opens its e-book store today with a whopping 3 million titles. To browse the titles, you can go to the site here.
Prices are inline with Amazon.com’s titles as well. And will average around $9.99-12.99 per title. All of Google’s e-books can be multiple e-reader devices as well. For a list of compatible devices you can check here. Sadly, the Kindle is not supported. But that is to be expected since Google is competing directly with Amazon on this front.
What’s even better is Google’s list of free e-books thanks to them scanning over 15 million library books in the past. Some titles available for free on Google’s store are A Tale of Two Cities, by Charles Dickens, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll and Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen.
