Hollywood is really blowing up with news this week, good thing for us we like to pass it along.  Here’s some new news from tinsel town, which we lovingly refer to as Hollywood Crack:

Avatar 2….& 3???:  You bet.  James Cameron has confirmed that he wills start writing scripts for two more Avatar movies next year.  However, the movies won’t hit the big screen for four years. Both would be shot in the stunning 3D that made Avatar such a hit.   Luck for the sequel to come out December 2014 and the third installment to hit a year later in 2015.

The Hobbit:  Won’t be leaving New Zealand after all.  Government officials are ponying up 25 million US dollars to make legislative changes to help redefine what a working actor is in the country.  Um, is it that difficult to define?  Either way, this movie should be shot in New Zealand.  It has the scenery that made the Rings Trilogy magical.   Time.com explored alternative sites that could have been used in this story..

Wolfman & Frankenstein Coming to Your Gaming System?:  Universal Pictures, which has been bringing you classic horror characters like the Wolfman and Frankenstein has partnered with gaming studio SEE Virtual Worlds to create a massively multiplayer online game where players become their own version of monster-hunter Van Helsing.  Some of the characters making up the Universal Monsters collection include the Hunchback of Notre Dame, the Phantom of the Opera, Dracula, the Invisible Man, the Mummy and the Creature From the Black Lagoon.

Like Collectables?:  One of the original James Bond Cars is hitting the auction block today in London.  Driven by Sir Sean Connery in “Goldfinger” and “Thunderball”, you can bid on this Aston Martin. It is looking to go for around 5.5 million US dollars.  If sci-fi is a little more your genre, you can bid on an authentic Darth Vader suit that was made for the movie “The Empire Strikes Back” and is expected to fetch around a quarter of a million dollars.   The sale of this piece of Star Wars treasure will go for auction next month in London as well.
