Proving that the French are good for more things than surrendering to Germany or allegedly raping hotel maids. A team of French hackers has well, hacked the Xbox Kinect and given it the capability to potentially understand sign language.

The system is still very basic and needs to be taught more words other than its current vocabulary of “Hello” and “Sorry”, but this could be ground breaking as a tool for the deaf or hearing impaired. As well as used as a teaching tool for those wishing to learn ASL.
