Not a household name by any means, but we are sure you have heard of one of his movies, Irvin Kershner passed away over the weekend. This man was the director for “Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back,”.
Kershner’s vision for Episode V was is probably why it stands out as one the best Star Wars movies in many people’s opinion. Kershner also directed RoboCop II and the 1983 unauthorized 007 film, “Never Say Never Again” which saw the return of Sean Connery to the role. He made his directorial debut with “Stakeout on Dope Street” in 1958.
