Leslie Nielsen… know for some of the best comedy of all time… passed away Sunday night due to complications from pneumonia. He was 84.
Mr. Nielsen was in some of the funniest movies of all time (“Airplane” & “The Naked Gun Series”), a hilarious short-lived TV series “Police Squad!” (Only 6 Episodes actually aired) and some of the most classic lines in movie history “It’s a B”… “It’s not a B, it’s a Bomb” and “Surely you can’t be serious”… “I am serious… and don’t call me Shirley”. With over 60 years in comedy Leslie Nielsen was one of the most recognizable heads of white hair in the world… and just his presence in a movie would incite immediate joy.
In lieu of a moment of silence we should all take 8 minutes and laugh at a few scenes from a couple of his greatest movies. We’ll miss Mr. Nielsen’s classic timing… but he can live on forever as long as we continue to laugh!!!!
