We teased you last month that the Star Wars saga was hitting Blu-Ray next year. But for those of you that never got to experience these on the big screen, you may just get your chance. In 3D of no less.
Reports are that George Lucas is exploring the possibility of bringing the films to theaters in 2012 beginning with “The Phantom Menace“, while releasing the other six films over the following years depending on how Episode I performs.
This could lead into a 3D version of these movies once the rerelease run their course, as by 2018 the market for 3D televisions will have grown exponentially.
